ACCE Names New Board Chair, Officers for 2023-24
Carlos Phillips, CCE, president & CEO of the Greenville Chamber, was named chair of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Board of Directors during the organization’s annual meeting on August 1.
“The chamber industry has provided me with a professional home, a place where I can leverage my strengths, my passions and my interests to build better communities,” Phillips said. “Our chambers and our communities will continue to face challenges, and the pace of change is only going to increase. We must build on our momentum and continue to innovate.” Read more.
Robert Heidt Receives ACCE Chair Award
Glendale Chamber President & CEO Robert Heidt received the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2023 Board Chair’s Award during the association’s annual meeting on August 1 in Salt Lake City.
The award is given annually to an individual or group that has made a significant contribution to the betterment of the chamber profession. Outgoing ACCE Chair Christy Gillenwater, CCE, IOM, president & CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, presented the award.
As chair of ACCE’s Fringe Benefits, Inc., the insurance and retirement benefits arm, Heidt led the organization and team through a robust external audit of its processes, procedures and structure to ensure we are providing the best solutions and services to our members. Read more.
2023 Chamber of the Year Winners Announced
The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives announced the winners of the 2023 Chamber of the Year competition, sponsored by Personify, at the Annual Awards Show during #ACCE23 in Salt Lake City.
Chamber of the Year is the most prestigious and competitive award presented by ACCE and is the only globally-recognized industry award that honors top chambers of commerce. Those honored with the Chamber of the Year designation have demonstrated organizational strength and made an impact on key community priorities.
